Upon arriving at the Elbow, our dive masters will provide a thorough briefing before everyone takes a "giant stride" into the water. The planned dive reaches a maximum depth of eighty feet, but divers can choose to stay at shallower depths based on their comfort levels. This multilevel dive offers around forty minutes of bottom time, with typical visibility reaching about ninety feet and constant currents. As you drift along, you'll encounter massive coral mounds featuring hard corals and some of the largest barrel sponges you’ll ever see. In deeper waters, you'll also spot gorgonians and large schools of snapper, grouper, and horse-eye jacks. The stronger the currents, the more abundant the marine life, as the flow of microorganisms feeds smaller fish, which in turn attract larger fish and sharks.

The second dive on this trip will be at The Wit, a 300-foot-long sunken ship and the first of its kind at Turneffe. Diving at The Wit is a unique and captivating experience for any ocean enthusiast. As the ship was recently sunk, divers have the rare opportunity to witness marine life as it gradually transforms this man-made structure into a thriving habitat, nursery, and shelter. This site sits at a depth of eighty feet with a bottom time of around fifty minutes. After this exhilarating dive, we'll dock at Calabash Caye for lunch, where you can also enjoy a peaceful nature walk along The Calabash Nature Trail. Following lunch, we’ll head to Northern Turneffe for a dive at one of its pristine wall sites.

Snacks and juice will be provided throughout the journey, but remember that Pineapples on the Beach will be ready to serve you a delicious dinner upon your return. Although dinner isn't included in the dive package, it’s a perfect way to unwind after a day of adventure. Take some time to freshen up, then join us at Pineapples on the Beach for a wonderful evening.
