Alaia Belize

Alaia Belize offer super-comfortable suites that feel more like vacation homes. You can walk a short distance to some coffee shops and restaurants, and with the help of the readily available golf carts, all of San Pedro will be neatly at your disposal. This is a family-friendly resort, and the suites’ private beach has a shallow, roped-off area where less experienced swimmers can wade and snorkel.

Just a few miles off shore, you can go snorkeling or diving around one of the crown jewels of the Belizean Caribbean – the Belize Barrier Reef. This reef has a blend of hard and soft coral, and dives in the area will introduce you to rays, sea turtles, and nurse sharks. If you’re more interested in snorkeling, you can take amazing tours in places like the Hol Chan Marine Reserve and a shallow portion of the reef called Mexico Rocks. Boating tours can also bring you to idyllic spots for reef fishing.

On the grounds of the resort, there’s a restaurant that specializes in fresh seafood – choose from the circular dining room or the communal outdoor dining table. The dining pavilion gets plenty of sunshine during the daytime and looks especially pretty lit up at night. Spend time between the beach and dinner at the outdoor pool and poolside bar, and watching the sunset from the whitewashed swings. The pool also has a shallow end for kids who haven’t quite grown out of their water wings.

Suites have either two or three bedrooms, facing either the swimming pool or the beachfront. All of the suites have polished tile floors. There are comfortable sitting rooms, complete with cable TVs and plush seating. Each suite has its own bathroom, complete with amenities. Suites also have ceiling fans and air conditioning. Keep valuables like passports (and anything else you want to keep out of the shuffle of your suitcase) securely locked away in the suite’s safety deposit box.

You can make international phone calls with the telephone at the front desk. High-speed Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. The phone in your room connects you to the front desk for room service and other requests. They provide same-day laundry service, but keep in mind that there is no dry cleaning available on the island.
