The 3-in-1 combo tour featuring Sloth Sanctuary, La Fortuna Waterfall, and a Volcano Hike is a fantastic way to experience the natural beauty and diverse landscapes of Costa Rica.

Sloth Territory

During your hike through Sloth Territory, you'll be immersed in a gallery forest brimming with lush vegetation and towering trees like Chilamate and Guácimo Colorado. This rich habitat supports a variety of wildlife, including opossums, two-toed and three-toed sloths, and a diverse range of birds such as toucans, tanagers, and Royal Flycatchers. The highlight of your visit is the opportunity to observe these fascinating sloths in their natural environment. The tour typically takes between 1.5 to 2 hours, providing ample time to enjoy the park's unique ecosystem and its inhabitants.

La Fortuna Waterfall This destination is a must-see when visiting Arenal. The combination of lush vegetation, crystal-clear water, and the stunning 229-foot (65-meter) waterfall creates a truly breathtaking scene. Be sure to bring your swimsuit, as this is a fantastic opportunity to swim in refreshing natural waters.

To reach the pool beneath the falls, you'll descend a trail with 498 steps. The climb back up typically takes between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your fitness level. It’s a rewarding experience well worth the effort, offering both natural beauty and a refreshing swim.

Volcano Hike Doing a hike should definitely be on your must-do list while in the area. Known for its iconic cone shape, Arenal Volcano has been an active volcano for decades, though it is currently in a resting phase with only occasional smoke visible from its peak. This makes it an excellent time to explore the park and learn about its history from a knowledgeable local guide.

A walk around the base of the volcano offers stunning views and the chance to see ancient lava flows up close. The tour is family-friendly and suitable for visitors of all ages, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone.
