The Springs Resort and Spa has such a stunning view of the Arenal Volcano, so much so that location scouts chose it for filming “Keeping up with the Kardashians” and “The Bachelor.” Visitors come here for the views as well as the stunning series of mineral pools where visitors can soak up the tropical rainforest.

You’ll want to plan lots of nature tours to see hotspots like the La Fortuna Waterfall. Make sure to plan some guided tours to see nature tours, a safe distance from the still-active Arenal Volcano. There are decks on the resort’s multiple levels, offering ample space for you to experience the incredible views, with a chill drink from one of the on-site bars in your hand. You can walk to several of the hot and cold springs on the grounds, which are all lovely places to explore on interconnected paths, against a backdrop of waterfalls and tropical plants. (There's even a bar hidden among the foliage, for a truly exotic happy hour.) If you don’t want to stray from the air conditioning, you could also check out the contemporary atmosphere at the lodge. There is an enormous amount of space for conferences. Because of the space and the incredible location, it’s become one of Arenal and La Fortuna’s most popular spots for large events.

You can choose from regular guest rooms as well as suites and villas. All of the rooms feature natural materials – wood and stone make the spaces especially warm and inviting. Even the simplest rooms come with writing desks and plush sitting areas.

All the rooms come with air conditioning as well as private terraces with their own breathtaking views. Private bathrooms have luxurious amenities like marble fixtures and Jacuzzi tubs. Refresh yourself with drinks from the minibar, the mini fridge, and the coffee maker. If you want something more, there’s also the room service menu.

Cable television and Apple TV come with surround sound. If you want, you can use the DVD or blu ray player. You’ll find it easy to keep in touch with your home base thanks to the Wi-Fi and telephone, and the staff can handle your laundry while you’re out exploring the rainforest. Speaking of leaving for the day, you can store anything you want to keep extra safe in the room’s safety deposit box.
