This two-part tour jumpstarts your morning with an adrenaline rush in a tropical rainforest canopy. To start your adventure, you’ll take a 20-minute gondola ride through the Arenal jungle. Then, you’ll climb to an observation deck in the treetops, where you’ll feel completely enveloped by the noisy, verdant rainforest.

Once you’ve gotten your fill of tropical birds, it’s time to put on your brave face for a zip line ride through the trees. You’ll be zipping over a distance of 2,600 feet (792 m), while you’re suspended 600 feet (182 m) above the ground.

After your zip line experience, your tour guide will take you back to the Pure Trek basecamp. There, you’ll get to eat a typical Costa Rican lunch and change into clothes that can handle getting wet.

Once you’re done eating, your guide will drive you 20 minutes outside of La Fortuna, to a canyon with a waterfall and a rock-climbing wall. You’ll get to spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the canyon – visitors have the opportunity to rappel down the waterfall, go rock climbing, and take yet another zip-line ride.

Before you head back to town, your tour guide will provide you with a cup of Costa Rican coffee – a well-earned pick-me-up after your active afternoon.
