IncludedThe forest surrounding Arenal Volcano is host to a number of exotic species. Sloths are some of the most lovable — these gentle creatures are as strange as they are peaceful. Your guide knows where they like to relax after a tiring day of eating leaves, and spotting a sloth in the wild is all but guaranteed.
Sloths aren’t all there is to see. Much of the terrain surrounding Arenal Volcano is secondary rain forest, but the quickly shifting terrain means that you can encounter a variety of critters. Along the way, you might spot toucans, monkeys, leaf cutter ants, and poisonous blue jeans dart frogs. Don’t forget your camera and binoculars!
