This 3-hour tour takes you behind the scenes of the busy Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica.

During your tour, you’ll take a canoe ride into the rainforest to see the sloth’s natural habitat (provided river conditions allow). Your guide can explain how the sloth has adapted to life in the rainforest. This part of the tour also introduces you to colorful local birds.

This tour also takes visitors to the “slothpital” clinic and nursery. Here you’ll get a sense of what goes into rehabilitating sloths and caring for sloth babies. Although only sanctuary employees can touch the sloths, you’ll get an up-close look at daily life for the sloths and their caretakers.
