This ranch puts you a short distance from the town of Canas, which is surrounded by some of the Guanacaste’s top natural attractions. It’s about an hour from here to Tenorio Volcano National Park, and less than an hour to Palo Verde National Park. Stay here to be a little ways off the beaten path and in the middle of the rainforest.
Hacienda La Pacifica is surrounded by a dry forest and a proliferation of wildlife. The Tenorio Volcano National Park is best known for its bright blue Celeste River which ends in an enchanting cascade. As you hike, you’ll see bubbling mud (caused by the nearby Tenorio Volcano) and bright blue morphos butterflies. Palo Verde has a vast network of wetlands that you can explore on a boating tour.
This is a rustic, quaint hotel, but all of the rooms still come with modern amenities like Wi-Fi and air-conditioning. Each room also comes with a desk and a cable TV. You can fix coffee in your room and store your own drinks and snacks in the mini-fridge. When you leave for the day, you might store your valuables in the safety deposit box.
On the grounds, you’ll have the chance to do some bird watching in your free time. When you get hungry, there’s a cozy on-site restaurant that focuses on Meditteranean tapas and a lengthy wine list. And although this lodge is surrounded by nature, you’ll be just a short drive from downtown Quepos, where you can find a nice selection of restaurants. If you’re looking to host an event, there are large halls and spacious outdoor dining area.
