Casa Corcovado is located on the northern end of the Osa Peninsula, on Drake Bay. This peninsula is truly one of the most outstanding and untouched wilderness areas, and home to the tallest primary rainforest on the planet. Also, the National Geographic magazine has declared this one of the most biologically intense places on earth.
The Osa Peninsula is the premier eco-tourism destination in the country. For those that love adventure and hiking, a trip to Corcovado should definitely be on your itinerary. Drake bay is one of the entrances to the Corcovado National Park, where a host of activities can be enjoyed, including canopy tours, sports fishing and outstanding scuba diving.
Tucked away in the emerald forest, with no roads leading to the wilderness lodge, guests arrive by being ferried down the Sierpe River and along the coast until reaching the paradise known as Casa Corcovado. The lodge is located on 170 acres of private reserve land, carefully built by a naturalist who constructed in harmony with the landscape and its environment.
The eco-friendly designed lodge has a Mexican flare to it seen in the beautifully colored tile floor of the swimming pool, stained glass doors and wooden shutters of the bungalows. The pool is located in the midst of lush vegetation as well as the chaise lounges, which are great for reading and sunbathing. In the Jungle Dining Room meals are prepared daily using the freshest vegetables, seafood, meats and pastas, accompanied by an exclusive wine list. Also surrounded by pristine jungle and fruit trees, you'll discover The Bar del Bosque, where you can take pleasure in exotic cocktails.
The Deluxe Bungalows and Junior Suites are all wonderfully furnished and decorated. All are adorned with designer furniture, stained glass doors, and wooden, handmade shutters. There are also hammocks right outside each suite. The Deluxe Bungalows are tucked away in their own private garden, and have a variety of beds and a bathroom decorated in colorful Mexican tile. The Junior Suites are perfect for larger groups, offering two interconnecting bungalows as well as a screened-in porch area.
