Get ready for an exciting journey that starts as you set foot into a lancha (boat) that will wisk you away to a magical mecca surrounded by blue green waters and mountains. This unique and private lodge, only accessible by boat offers 165 acres of private reserve as your backdrop and for endless exploration. The owner run lodge was designed for comfort and harmonious living with the environment. Here you can enjoy activities like kayaking through mangroves, fishing, snorkeling, hiking to hidden waterfalls and revel in endless wildlife viewings.
Playa Nicuesa Lodge is a quaint lodge embraced by fruit trees and tropical flowering plants. There are four private cabins with one or two bedrooms and four rooms located in the Mango Guesthouse. The accommodations are nestled amidst the dense forest offering privacy and tranquility. Here electricity is solar powered though candles are always utilized throughout the lodge grounds to preserve the natural feeling. The rooms feature open air showers, private verandas affording panoramic views of the surroundings and full length louvre doors. The bedrooms have canopied beds, ceiling fans, and private bath with hot water.
Three exceptional meals are prepared daily by our chefs with an emphasis on fresh fish, tropical fruits and local cuisine. The main lodge set up in the jungle canopy is where you'll find the terrace bar overlooking the forest and sea as well as the restaurant where you'll dine by candlelight. And for ultimate relaxation and star gazing hammocks have been provided.
Note: Rates include lodging, boat pick up and drop off from town of arrival and departure (Golfito/Puerto Jimenez), three daily meals, unlimited self guided hikes on preserve, use of kayaks, snorkeling and fishing equipment.
