Costa Rica’s rainforests are natural theme parks. On this tour you’ll go canyoneering in the San Antonio de Damas rainforest, which is just outside of the Manuel Antonio National Park. Waterfalls, canyons, and a river await in a rainforest bursting with exotic wildlife.
When you first arrive in the adventure park you’ll check in the adventure headquarters. Then your expert guides will help you put on your safety gear and explain how to use all the equipment. Your group will get in a 4x4 truck for your transport through the jungle, which will make it easy to transverse the rough-and-tumble landscape.
There is a via ferrata up the side of one of the cliffs – a sturdy series of rungs that helps you safely scramble up the face of the canyon. At the summit, you’ll strap yourself into the Tarzan swing for your first of many flights through the jungle. Your adventure will continue with rappelling and zip-lining down a canyon and through a waterfall. The river is deep enough for you to take a free-falling jump into the water from a zip-line.
Waterproof sunscreen, quick-drying hiking clothing, bathing suit, water shoes (or other strap-on shoes with rubber soles). Flip-flops are not recommended.
Snacks and lunch at the Amigos del Río restaurant, professional guides, equipment, and local transportation.
