Let Harold know what you think!
Climb onto a sturdy ATV for a rollicking 3.5-hour tour of the Manuel Antonio landscape. You'll have a professional bilingual guide along for the ride, and they can help you appreciate the natural beauty on this safe and exhilarating tour.
Your day begins with a safety lesson by your guide, who'll show you how to operate and manage your very own ATV. Once comfortable with your vehicle, you'll strap on your helmet, sit down, and hit the trails. Your guide will lead you into the mountains and through tropical forests.
You'll pass African Palm plantations and stop for a swim in the river. Eventually, you'll dismount from the ATVs to go for a walk in "La Selvita," where you'll get to see the primary rainforest and your guide will point out interesting native plants. If you're lucky, you may be able to spot some squirrel monkeys, which are becoming increasingly rare. Your hike will stop along the banks of the Gallega River, giving you the chance to go for a swim. Walk across the jungle's suspension bridges, and go for another dip in the pools next to the river.
Your tour concludes with a typical Tico lunch at a restaurant in the middle of the jungle. This tour lasts 3.5 hours, although all-day tours are available upon request. Tours depart at 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 2:30 PM.
Change of clothes, bathing suit, towel, insect repellent, sneakers/water shoes, and a camera. Come wearing your suit — there are no dressing rooms near the river.
