Mountain Faro Hotel

This family-run hotel is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood that is a 10-minute walk from the town of Santa Elena. You can quickly get to the cloud forest reserves in the area, where you can see of the most rare birds in the world.

American Quakers settled in Monteverde, and while you’re here you can try some of their homemade cheese. You can walk into town to try some of the local restaurants and cafes. There’s also an orchid garden and butterfly garden where you can get a good look at some of the area’s native species. The Santa Elena Cloud Reserve and the Monteverde Cloud Reserve are incredible environments where you can see lichens, orchids, and see howler monkeys. You’ll see and hear many types of rare birds, including the elusive quetzal.

Mountain Faro Hotel offers 5 bedrooms. The rooms have tile floors and pristine interiors. Guests can access the Wi-Fi from their rooms, and watch the cable TV. Use the safety deposit box to store your valuables, and keep your drinks in the mini-refrigerator. There’s also a coffee maker provided for guests, and the private bathroom has hot water.
