Travel just south of Playa Hermosa to visit Playas del Coco, a more heavily touristed area with lots of friendly bars and restaurants catering to visitors. To the north there’s Playa Panamá, another laid-back beach with a peaceful stretch of gray sand and good swimming conditions. In addition to spending lots of time a the beach, visitors to this part of Guanacaste should consider booking fishing and sailing tours aboard swift-moving catamarans.
