El Churrasco Hotel
El Churrasco is located 6.2 miles (10 km) from Poás Volcano. Poás Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the country, and geysers frequently shoot from the mouth of the volcano.
On hikes around the volcano you’ll have an excellent chance to do some world-class bird watching. Look out for quetzals, toucanets, hummingbirds, and black guans. Nearby the volcano you can visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens, which has five waterfalls. In addition to the waterfalls you can see La Paz’s butterfly gardens and hummingbird gardens.
El Churrasco Hotel offers a total of 15 rooms, spread out over standard rooms in the main building and bungalows. Rooms here are appointed like cozy cabins, and all of the rooms come with cable TV. There are private bathrooms with hot water.
