The Villa Romantica lies just on the outskirts of the popular fishing town of Quepos, on Costa Rica’s the Central Pacific coast. Quepos boasts excellent sport fishing for Marlin, Tuna, and Sailfish, and offers an array of boutiques, surf shops, as well tasty restaurants and bars that host live local music. The renowned Manuel Antonio National Park is a seven-minute drive, filled with unspoiled beaches, tropical forests, and swift rivers and waterfalls.
Visitors traveling to this destination won’t have any trouble finding ways to occupy their time. Head into the park and swing through a set of high-flying canopy tours, or else visit one of the cascading waterfalls on foot or horseback. The Pacific Ocean offers visitors the chance to do some excellent snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, or sailing. Of course, many people simply opt to lounge on the beach with a book or drink in hand and let the day float by.
The Villa Romantica is a small hotel located right at the fringe of Quepos, a distance that gives it both the seclusion from, and the accessibility to, the town’s amenities. The hotel is a white, 2-story colonial style complex surrounded by dense vegetation and tropical wildlife. The German ownership gives the hotel a jovial and relaxed atmosphere, and keeps it tidy, quiet, and clean. The hotel grounds are well kept and the rooms are furnished tastefully - open, airy and decorated with informal simplicity. Most rooms are nestled amongst a lush tropical garden overlooking the hotel’s peanut-shaped swimming pool. The pool is refreshing and has an adjoining terrace that is ideal for relaxing or cooking, as it has several barbeques that hotel guests are welcome to use. Every morning, the Villa Romantica serves up a buffet-style breakfast until 10 A.M. However, the hotel is also a skip away from a wonderful variety of restaurants and bars, supermarkets, shops, casinos, and discotheques in downtown Quepos.
