Located just outside the town of Tamarindo on Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula, the Villas Langosta Condominiums allow guests easy access into the city when they want it, and seclusion when they don’t. Langosta means lobster in Spanish, so it’s no surprise that these condominiums are close to the sea—in fact, it’s just a short walk away.
The Tamarindo area has a great deal to offer travelers. The town itself has developed at a fast pace in recent years, and as such is no longer the small village that it once was. The town’s growth has ushered in cute cafes, mouthwatering restaurants, and savy tour providers. There is good surfing nearby at Playa Grande, and a number of other oceanic endeavors, including sport fishing, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Also within range is the Tamarindo National Wildlife Refuge, a 1,000-acre (400-ha) collection of forests, mangroves and estuaries that visitors can explore on their own.
The Villas Langosta Condominiums lend themselves to families and groups. In total, they can sleep six people, with beds spread across two bedrooms and one fold out couch. The master bedroom is sizable and inviting, with a queen size bed and a large Jacuzzi bathtub. The second bedroom has two twin beds and there is a convertible sofa in the living room.
High ceilings give the place a spacious feel. The living room is comfortable and opens (via large sliding glass doors) onto a patio where you can enjoy views of the Pacific Ocean. The kitchen is well stocked with amenities and cookware, including a refrigerator and freezer, microwave, stove, blender, toaster and coffee maker. Wireless internet makes it easy to keep in touch with family and friends at home, and there is a cable TV and DVD player for your entertainment needs.
The beach – Playa Langosta – is just a short walk away, and there is an onsite swimming pool for guests to cool off in.
The condominiums are located approximately ten minutes south of Tamarindo.
