Tiki Villas Lodge

Tiki Villas is located within the Southern Pacific region of Costa Rica near the town of Uvita, a few miles south of Dominical. This part of the country is unspoiled and beautiful and draws smaller crowds than some areas to the north.

The area around Uvita is charming – palm trees sway calmly beside expansive beaches, as waves lap tranquilly at the shore. Not surprisingly, this is an excellent spot for swimming, snorkeling, and offshore diving. From May to October, Olive Ridley and Hawksbill sea turtles can be seen scrambling ashore to lay eggs. The Marino Ballena National Park borders this area and provides an ideal place to watch the turtles or search for migrating humpback whales. Other activities include surfing, horseback riding, hikes to waterfalls, and kayak tours through mangroves and estuaries.

Tiki Villas spreads across a mountainside that is only 100 meters above the Pacific Ocean. Understandably, the views from the property – and, in fact, each bungalow – are spectacular: waves crash against the shore, hills roll in the distance, and sunsets shine bright and colorful. The Villas’ property extends east, allowing guests exclusive access to the hiking trails that wander through their private 13-acre rainforest reserve. What’s more, guests can walk to the beautiful Playa Hermosa in only 3 minutes, a spot that is perfect for lounging, walking, or swimming. However, those that would rather cool off at the hotel can do so at the infinity-edge swimming pool.

Accommodations consist of five private and spacious bungalows. Each bungalow is tastefully decorated in a relaxed and classy style. Expansive wooden doors slide open to reveal a covered porch that is equipped with table and chairs – a wonderful spot to watch the day begin or end. A king size bed and a large hot water shower keeps guests clean and comfortable, while a kitchenette (equipped with a mini-bar and coffee maker) conveniently allows for cooking at home. Additionally, each bungalow comes stocked with a fan, safety deposit box, walk-in closet, and hair dryer.
