Inside Hostel Doble Roble, you will feel like Cuban royalty. The house is truly a traditional aristocrat abode but the hosts are grounded and friendly.
Gibara’s architecture is still heavily influenced from the colonial period. The buildings are colorful and intricate, making a simple stroll through the city feel like an art gallery.
Hostel Doble Roble is one of these luxurious two story colonial houses in the center of Gibara. The exteriors are a bright mustard yellow with elaborate stone work on the bottom half of the walls. The house offers guests two bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The queen size beds rest below large bay windows from which you can see a view of the city.
The house has an interior courtyard that is covered in palm trees and a canopy of green. You have access to the beach only a few steps away. The hosts provide breakfast and if you stay for dinner, the meals are enlivened by local musicians.
