Hostal San Cristobal de la Habana is a house built in 1920, and is located in the center of Old Havana. The owner – a Grammy-winning musician and composer – has worked to maintain this home’s colonial appearance.
From the hostel you can easily walk to dance studios like La Casa del Son, where you can learn popular Cuban dance styles like salsa. You can also walk to the Plaza de la Catedral, a square named for the Havana Cathedral. This cathedral is a Baroque church and a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can walk a few blocks south to see more historic sites like the ornate Governor’s Palace — go inside the palace to see beautiful furnishings and Havana’s City Museum exhibits. From there you can quickly stroll to Obispo Street, where you’ll find bars and restaurants.
This house features five bedrooms. Each comes with a private bathroom that has a hot and cold shower, air conditioning, a safety deposit box, and a fridge. Breakfast service and airport transfers can also be arranged.
