Take this tour to see one of the prettiest landscapes in Cuba. This is an all-day tour of the Viñales Valley that departs at 8:00 AM. First, you’ll stop at Barrigonas Ranch for a bite to eat. Barrigonas is a tobacco ranch, where you’ll see shining fields of Viñales’ most famous crop. Tobacco grown here goes into some of the world’s best cigars.
Afterward, you’ll take in an excellent view from a lookout point on the grounds of the Los Jazmines Hotel, where you can survey the limestone magote formations in the distance. Next, you’ll take a scenic drive around the town. You’ll make your way to the “Indian Cave” next - a river runs through this cave that you can explore in a small boat.
This part of the tour includes a stop at the prehistory mural, which has a brightly colorful depiction of two human figures that is 393 feet (120 m) high and 590 feet (180 m) wide. (Note: The mural isn’t actually prehistoric, but is a modern take on prehistoric artwork.) Your tour continues with a stop at a restaurant for lunch. Then, you’ll visit the home of a farmer to get a sense of life for ordinary farmers. Finally, you’ll return home after an exciting day of sightseeing.
