Cuba sees many female travelers, including women traveling alone or with other women, every year. You should still take common-sense precautions: do not walk alone at night, and do not enter into unnecessary conversation with pushy or persistent men. The culture of the island is considered somewhat macho, and street harassment is an issue. When catcalled or otherwise bothered, it’s best to ignore the harassers.
