Isla de Flores Hotel
Isla de Flores Hotel is a boutique hotel on the small island of Flores. While you stay here you will have lovely views of Lake Petén Itzá in a quiet, calm village.
Flores Island is connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway. It’s a short drive from the hotel to the mainland and to the Maya Mundo International shopping mall on the lake shore. Outside the mall you will see large replicas of Maya statues. Isla de Flores Hotel is a 35-minute drive from Biotopo Cerro Cahuí, which is a wildlife reserve known for its excellent bird watching. In just over an hour you can drive from the hotel to the Maya ruins of Tikal. People come to Tikal to climb the tall temples and see the monkeys and birds that live in the surrounding rainforest.
You can pass time in the lobby, which is bright and welcoming. While you’re in the lobby you can access the hotel’s Wi-Fi and visit the small gift shop.
On the roof you’ll find a spacious deck with comfortable lounge furniture. There is a pleasant, somewhat upscale restaurant in the hotel that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can order drinks – including cocktails made with fresh fruit juice – at the hotel bar.
Rooms at Isla de Flores Hotel are quite clean. They get good natural lighting and have air conditioning. All of the rooms here have private bathrooms.
