San Juan La Laguna, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala Tours and Activities

This tour consists of a three-hour tour of the town of San Juan La Laguna. This Tz’utujil Maya town is set along the shores of Lake Atitlán and has done a good job retaining its authentic Mayan traditions.

This tour takes you on a hike to El Cerro del La Cruz ("The Cross Hill"). From here you'll enjoy good views of San Juan La Laguna and Lake Atitlán. From here you can see and walk to the El Rostro Maya.

This tour takes you on a hike up La Nariz del Indio, a mountain outside San Juan La Laguna that’s named for its resemblance to a Mayan profile.

We will visit the towns of Santa Catalina and San Antonio, where we'll make stops to explore weavers' workshops, colonial churches, and a pottery factory. Other towns that we visit are Panajachel, Agua Escondida, San André, Semetabaj and Panajachel

Setting off from Panajachel, we journey by boat to Santa Clara. Our trek starts, climbing the hillside for about 2 hours to the peak, where we're rewarded with stunning views of the lake and surrounding volcanoes. We then make our way down towards San Juan La Laguna, followed by a bus ride returning us to San Juan, and ultimately, Panajachel.
