Let Bitty know what you think!
The landscape surrounding Tikal changes dramatically as the sun begins to set. This tours lets you see the beginnings of the evening creep in, as nocturnal animals begin their daily routines, between 6 and 8 pm. Best of all, the angle of the setting sun illuminates parts of the canopy that you can’t fully appreciate during full daylight.
You’ll follow your guide to Temple IV, one of the main temples in the complex, for an incredible view of the surroundings. As you watch the sunset or sunrise and the sky change colors, your guide will share tales from Maya mythology about the pantheon of gods that take the form of local animals. This tour is an easy add-on to any other exploring you might want to do of the site, and is limited to one to 10 guests, ensuring that you’ll have an easy time asking your guide whatever questions you may have about the Maya or the flora and fauna.
You must bring your park entrance fee for any of the tours, mosquito repellent, sunblock, flashlight, water, and snacks if desired.
