This resort offers incredible views of the Indian Ocean and covers a total of 2.5 acres (1 ha), with a beautiful view of the mountains in the distance. The grounds are a short drive from some cities where you can experience Balinese culture and food.
It takes just over 30 minutes to reach the city of Ubud, driving north from the resort. Go here to see the busy market in the early morning, or go visit one of the temples on the outskirts of the city, like Goa Gajah—a cave that served as a shrine in the 9th century, decorated with elaborate carvings of elephants. Don’t miss the night market at Gianyar, which is about 25 minutes north of the resort and boasts some of the best chances to sample Indonesian cuisine of anywhere in the country.
The interior is designed to feel like an opulent palace, with columns, statues, and fountains in the main lobby. There’s a long infinity pool lined with umbrellas and loungers next to stately rows of palm trees. Jeeva Saba has its own piece of the beach, which is lovely for enjoying the view. For swimming, walk a short distance from the resort to reach a lagoon that’s protected by a reef. There’s an on-site gym and the resort offers massages either in the single-person massage room or on your own private terrace.
Guests can help themselves to the free, Western-style breakfast. You can request to have lunch and dinner served here as well. Guests can also request lunch or dinner, and choose from Western and Indonesian specialties. Jeeva Saba also has a nice selection of wines.
Jeeva Saba caters to all kinds of travelers. Book a smaller villa for a romantic stay. Families can book babysitting services and children’s activities can be arranged. Business travelers can make use of the business center and nicely appointed meeting rooms and there’s Wi-Fi available throughout the resort.
You can choose from three different pavilions, which offer a total of 8 suites. All of the suites are fully air conditioned and come with high ceilings. No matter which suite you choose, you’ll have access to services like room service and laundry service. The bathrooms in each of these houses are particularly attractive, with lovely amenities and open, free-flowing designs.
Tree House
This is the smallest of the pavilions, with a large bedroom and a small studio. Guests here have access to private terraces and both rooms come with TVs. The living room has comfortable sofas.
Beach House
The Beach House has two stories. This house uses beautiful wood and marble materials. Floor-to-ceiling windows that let in good natural light and spectacular views.
Coast House
There’s a view of the ocean from the front of the house and the rice paddies in the rear. The upstairs suites have private terraces. These rooms also have glass walls and open air bathtubs. Both of the downstairs bedrooms have flat screen TVs.
