Sandat Glamping is a boutique resort. These spacious tents are located in northern Ubud, near some of the rice terraces that make this part of Bali so uniquely beautiful. There are a total of 8 eco-lodges available for guests.
You can quickly get from the glamping tents of Sandat to pretty nature walks. Tegalalang and Jatiluwih are popular rice paddies—Tegalalang is good for a quick walk, and Jatiluwih is more for travelers looking for a longer hike. It’s a short drive from the resort to downtown Ubud. Get to Ubud Market early to see local shopping for ingredients that will be transformed by nearby restaurants—it’s worth sampling a few of the popular hotspots. There’s also a section devoted to locally made art, where lots of travelers come to get souvenirs.
The main building has a bright, white interior, and natural light illuminates the collection of 100 mirrors on the main wall. Walk up the spiraling staircase to have a lovely view of the grounds. You have the option to arrange for a yoga class ahead of time.
Head to the open-air bamboo pavilion and find a surprising, fine-dining atmosphere. The menu changes on the chef’s enthusiasms and has Indonesian and international restaurants. During the day, you can visit the breezy bar and lounge for a selection of smoothies. In the evening, try a fizzy cocktail alongside a savory snack.
There are 5 luxury tents and 3 “lumbung” tents. Expansive canopies over the beds and the living room areas make the spaces feel especially comfortable. All of these accommodations have private, indoor bathrooms and overlook the lush surroundings. The decór celebrates traditional craftsmanship as well as modern, eco-design. Wi-Fi is available throughout the grounds.
Luxury Tents
Guests who book luxury tents will have a full 430 square feet (40 sq m) to themselves. Each of these “tents” also has a private pool. Luxury tents also come with extra amenities like air conditioning and minibars.
Lumbung Tents
The three Lumbung share a swimming pool. These habitations are designed to look like the rice barns that dot the countryside and come with thatched roofs and and two floors.
