You need a visa and a passport in order to enter Myanmar. Keep in mind that you may need to present these documents at checkpoints if you choose to leave tourist areas.
You must have a travel visa. Apply for a visa using the government’s eVisa program, and you’ll receive your letter of approval in just a few days. Make sure you visit the official government site — there are some scam websites masquerading as eVisa sites. Of course, if it’s convenient, you can also apply in person at the Burmese consulate. When you enter the country you’ll present the letter for an official to stamp. Once you have your visa, you must use it within 3 months.
You need a valid passport, and it must be valid for at least 6 months past the date you enter Myanmar.
