Bocas del Mar is a lovely boutique hotel in Boca Chica, Panama. The hotel features modern bungalows and is positioned directly above the water’s edge.

Boca Chica is a small village that acts as a gateway to the Gulf of Chiriquí National Marine Park. The park is scattered with islands that have pristine, secluded beaches. Visitors can go sport fishing and reel in dorado, wahoo, sailfish, and blue and black marlin. Other areas, especially around the more remote islands, have awesome scuba diving and snorkeling.

Nestled on a stunning spot above the Pacific Ocean, Bocas del Mar offers travelers a perfect base for exploring the region. The hotel has its own private dock, which makes it easy to board a boat and go island hopping or head out for a fishing trip.

The hotel’s grounds are lush and green. There is a small, sandy cove where guests can relax by the water and several areas to sit outdoors. The hotel’s swimming pool is a nice place to cool off or lounge on cushioned chairs lining its side. An onsite restaurant serves an á la carte breakfast each morning, with lunch and dinner options offered later in the day. The menu offers international cuisine and has especially delicious fresh fish dishes. Guests that catch fish can have the chef prepare it for dinner.

Bocas del Mar has eleven bungalows. Designed with a beautiful and contemporary style, the bungalows are bright and airy—they have panoramic windows, high ceilings, and cheerful colors. The bungalows are scattered around the hotel’s garden and have views of the Pacific Ocean. The swimming pool, restaurant, and parking lot are all easily accessible.

Each bungalow has comfortable beds with orthopedic mattresses and fine linens. Private bathrooms come equipped with a hot water shower, luxury bathtub, hair dryer, toiletries, and towels. Deluxe Water’s Edge Bungalows – these bungalows are larger and have one king-size bed. Additionally, they have a private garden and outdoor hot tub. These rooms can sleep two people, although a foldaway bed can be added on request for a third person.

Duplex – the waterfront bungalows (with a queen-size bed and single bed) can be combined with the adjacent bungalow (which has a king-size bed) to create a suite of interconnected rooms. This is a good option for families or small groups.
