Scientists originally built this zip lining course in order to better observe wildlife in the canopy. They quickly realized how exhilarating it was to glide through the trees. Now, you can see for yourself on a zip-lining adventure in Portabelo National Park, which is located just 90 minutes outside of Colón.
Once you arrive, your guide will make sure you feel comfortable with the equipment. They can also give you tips for how to have the most fun as you sail through the air, between platforms that are 100 feet (30.5 m) above the ground and 400 feet (121 m) apart. As you whoosh from platform to platform, keep an eye out for entertaining birds and monkeys.
