Let Harold know what you think!
This tour, which combines an aerial tram ride with a visit to wildlife exhibits, provides travelers with a wonderful look at the flora and fauna of Panama.
During the first part of the tour you’ll ride up the rainforest tram, which lifts passengers some 280 feet (85 m) up a hill through the forest. Along the way, you’ll pass through secondary forest and have the chance to spot animals like birds, monkeys, and sloths. At the top of the tram is 100-foot (30-m) observation tower that offers wonderful views of the surrounding forest and Panama Canal.
After the tram ride, you’ll head to the wildlife exhibits. These include an orchid nursery, a butterfly house, serpentarium (with both native and non-native species), and a freshwater aquarium. The aquarium houses fish, turtles, caimans, and crocodiles. These exhibits are a great way to become acquainted with Panama’s plants and animals.
This tour is available to all travelers. Climbing the observational tower is optional.
This tour is offered from Tuesday to Sunday. It departs at 8:15 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.
The duration of the tour departs on where you are staying. If you're coming from Panama City, the tour lasts around 4 hours; from Gamboa, the tour lasts around 2 hours; and from Playa Bonita, the tour lasts around 4.5 hours.
