The Resort at Isla Palenque offers luxury accommodations on a 400-acre (162- ha) of rainforest-covered island. Isla Palenque is just off the southern Pacific coast. There are 8 luxury beachfront casitas with direct beach access so you’ll feel like you have a little bit of the island to yourself.

It’s right outside of the Gulf of Chiriquí National Marine Park. This area covers many islands and lots of reefs that make for excellent diving and snorkeling. In addition to tropical fish, you might get the chance to see a sea turtle. Visit the islands sprinkled throughout the gulf and spend some time on isolated, beautiful beaches. If you visit from August to November, consider taking a whale watching tour for the chance to see baby whales frolicking with their mothers.

On the grounds of the resort, you can explore the beach with complimentary kayaks and paddleboards. The infinity pool has a sunny yoga deck where you can have a meditative practice. If you want, you can arrange for a massage treatment.

Your hosts will welcome you with a drink. There’s a gourmet restaurant on the grounds of the hotel and offers plenty of variety. You can also help order a lovely fruity cocktail (or other happy hour beverage of your choice) and the fully stocked bar.

There are 8 luxury beachfront casitas with direct beach access. Each casita has a spacious private garden with hammocks and an open-air lounge. These are beautifully appointed bungalows and that are spaced out so you’ll feel like you have a little bit of the island to yourself. Besides the casitas, there’s also a beachfront estate that has a total of 6 rooms, with 2 suites and 4 rooms. This is the ideal beach house for large groups of travel buddies or families.

In addition to nicely appointed private bathrooms, there are also outdoor showers and bathtubs. Casitas come with air conditioning and ceiling fans. Your accommodations offer daily housekeeping. All of the accommodations come with safety deposit boxes that are large enough for a laptop. You can also access Wi-Fi in all of the guest rooms.

Your stay includes arrival and departure day transfer: Boca Chica-Isla Palenque-Boca Chica, three gourmet meals per day plus non-alcoholic and non-mixed drink, selection of guided “In-House” island tours (tours dependent on tides and weather), use of kayaks, paddleboards, fishing gear and other available equipment.
