Palma Royale Hotel is on the south coast of Bocas del Toros’ Colón Island. From this hotel, you can walk just 65 feet (30 m) to the ocean.

On the north side of the island, you can visit Playa Boca del Drago, which is one of Bocas del Toro’s best beaches for swimming. The water here is calm and clear, but the strip of sand that comprises the beach can get quite narrow. Just a little ways south you can explore Playa Estrella, or “Star Beach” in English.
