Let Harold know what you think!
This ferry is a scenic way to get from Panama City to the islands of Contadora and Saboga, which are also known as “Las Perlas.” Las Perlas in English means “The Pearls,” a nickname the islands earned because of their pristine beauty. This is a regular ferry and not a tour boat – it’s simply a lovely way to see the Panama Bay on your way to the islands.
Sea Las Perlas offers daily trips, but the schedule can change. Typically the ferry leaves early in the morning and returns in the late afternoon. You can do a same-day trip or stay at one of the hotels on the islands. The rates posted here are for round-trip tickets.
You can travel around the islands by signing up for a ride in a panga boat with a guide. There are no cars on these islands, only golf carts, which is part of the reason they remain so scenic.
Sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent and whatever else you need for a trip to the beach. Make sure to make your reservation in advance.
