Finca Buena Vista is an attractive bed and breakfast that is set in the hills above the town of Las Lajas. The owners are warm and friendly, and the hotel’s location couldn’t be better.

Playa Las Lajas is a broad gray-sand beach. It is large enough to not get crowded and is a good spot to soak up sun or ride horses. The Pacific Ocean is a pleasant place to swim or go deep-sea fishing, and hikes can be made in the nearby mountains.

Finca Buena Vista is set on a hillside overlooking a patchwork of mountains. Not surprisingly, the location is the one of the first things that guests comment on. The second is usually the hospitality of the owners. The German couple that runs the place clearly takes pride in their hotel and works hard to ensure that their guests have a pleasant experience.

Days at Finca Buena Vista begin with breakfast on the covered patio outside each room. The breakfast includes eggs, cold cuts, homemade cheese spread, home-baked German bread, local coffee, fresh orange juice, and a plate of local fruit. Enjoying the food while looking out over the mountains is a great way to begin your day! The hotel also offers food and drinks throughout the day for guests, but does not have a restaurant that is open to the public.

Accommodations at Finca Buena Vista are clean and comfortable. The rooms are tastefully decorated with tile floors and soft lighting. All rooms have air conditioning, cable TV, and a private bathroom with a hot water shower. Most rooms have one double bed, although some rooms have a loft with another double bed. Also included in every room is a coffee maker and mini fridge. Outside the rooms is a covered patio—a pleasant place to relax and soak up extraordinary views.

There is a small swimming pool that guests are invited to use. You have to drive to the beach from here, so the pool is a nice alternative for guests that wish to stay at the hotel.
