Located near the entry of the Panama Canal, the Radisson Panama Canal is a comfortable hotel with unbeatable views. It has pleasant accommodations and a stellar location near the Causeway.
As the capital, Panama City is the largest metropolitan area in the country. The downtown is dotted with large, modern skyscrapers. The city has fancy restaurants and local eateries, as well as casinos, bars, nightclubs, and shopping districts. The city also has a fair share of culture and history that can be seen at Casco Viejo and Panamá La Vieja. Travelers interested in the outdoors can visit the Soberanía National Park and Barro Colorado Island.
There aren’t many hotels where you can eat breakfast while watching ships enter the Panama Canal. At the Radisson Panama Canal, however, you can. Aside from the hotel’s comfortable rooms and facilities, its main selling point is its view, which includes both the Panama Canal and the Bridge of the Americas. It’s fun to watch massive barges and cruise ships navigate the entry of the Canal. This hotel is also close to the Causeway, which has a solid selection of restaurants and bars.
Each of the hotel’s rooms are spacious and equipped with a private bathroom, hot water shower, cable TV, wireless Internet, air conditioning, and a private balcony. They also have a microwave, coffee maker and mini-fridge, making it easy to store food and drinks. The suites are larger and somewhat nicer than the rooms. In addition to the amenities already mentioned, the suites have a living room and dining area.
Located on the ground floor of the hotel, the Bridge View Restaurant serves a free breakfast buffet every morning and offers lunch and dinner throughout the rest of the day. The restaurant specializes in international cuisine and serves a wide range of dishes, including grilled shrimp, rib eye steaks, and corvina (a type of sea bass). The restaurant has a welcoming ambiance and excellent views of the Bridge of the Americas.
If you’re still hungry, you can head to the on-site TGI Fridays. With both indoor and outdoor seating available, the TGI Fridays has tasty food and good views of the Panama Canal. The hotel also has a small café in the lobby that serves coffee, tea, sandwiches, and pastries.
Drinks can be ordered at the bar and taken to the outdoor swimming pool. The pool – which includes both an adult and children’s pool – is big and surrounded by sun chairs. During the evening you can relax in the hotel’s small Jacuzzi and stare up at the stars. There is also a small playground that offers recreational activities for children.
The Radisson Panama Canal also offers laundry services, international newspapers, and room service.
