The Corregidor Hotel is located in Arequipa. This hotel has simple rooms and a good daily breakfast.
Arequipa is located along the High Plains of Peru about 78 miles (125 km) from the coast. The city is constructed from white sillar stone, which makes its Plaza de Armas one of the most spectacular in all of Peru. Another important attraction in Arequipa is the Monasterio de Santa Catalina, a 435-year-old monastery that once housed around 175 nuns. The area around Arequipa hosts places to go hiking, climbing, rafting, and kayaking.
The Corregidor Hotel is a simple and clean hotel set on the outskirts of town—it’s about a 15-minute walk to the Plaza de Armas from here. The friendly staff is always happy to help guests with whatever they need.
The rooms here are basic and clean. They have huge windows that let in lots of sunlight and are decorated with contemporary Peruvian paintings. All rooms have a private bathroom with a hot water shower and hair dryer (upon request). Log in to the free Wi-Fi and work from the desk, or zone out with a little cable TV and a refreshment from the mini-bar. Rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor have panoramic views of the city, and guests can request rooms with air conditioning.
The breakfast here is wonderful and includes eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, bread, meat, cheese, milk, tea, juice, and coffee. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and serves both national and international meals. Room service is available. After a long day spent exploring Arequipa, relax with a drink at the hotel bar.
The Corregidor Hotel also offers currency exchange, laundry service, luggage storage, and fax service. Valuables can be stored in the front desk’s safety deposit box.
