This boutique hotel offers rooms in a beautifully restored 19th-century mansion. Built near the ruins of an Inca fortress, Palacio Manco Capac gives you space to reach out and touch Cusco’s legendary past.
Palacio Manco Capac is named after Cusco’s founder, the great leader Manco Capac. The hotel is located behind the colonial-era San Cristobál Church. This church, like the Qorikancha temple in downtown Cusco, has remnants of Inca architecture incorporated into its design. From the front steps, you’ll have an awesome view of the surrounding city. On the grounds of the hotel, you can find the last remaining wall of Manco Capac’s palace, Qolqnpata. Qolqanpata means “place of deposits” in Quechua, the language of the Inca. Inca platforms surround the hotel, adding to the historic ambiance.
