This resort is conveniently located for visiting some of Belize’s most interesting Maya ruins and the small city of San Ignacio. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the resort into downtown – you’ll stroll past the Macal River Park on your way to the local cafés, restaurants, and bars.
The ruins of Cahal Pech likely served as a ceremonial center, evident from its seven temples and large ball court. It's just a six-minute drive from this lodge to the ancient site. Xunantunich is a 40-minute drive away, followed by a hike through the jungle to reach the remains of a Mayan city that once housed around 10,000 inhabitants. Here, you can admire exceptionally tall temples and stones adorned with intricate carvings. On the opposite side of the lodge, the Macal River beckons for kayaking or canoeing adventures along its banks, lined with dense jungle foliage.
Accommodations include cabins and cottages nestled among vibrant plants on the property. Each unit features a private verandah with hammocks, while the interiors boast sleek, polished wood and abundant natural light from large windows.
