Let Harold know what you think!
This tour is a thorough exploration of the Arenal rainforest canopy. You’ll go for a walk over suspension bridges that offer peerless views of the jungle, and then go for a ride above the canopy in a cable car. Visitors should know that the hike is fairly strenuous, and involves steep ascents and descents, as well as climbing steps.
On your 3-hour hiking tour you will cross a total of 5 suspension bridges. These bridges are high in the rainforest canopy, putting you at eye-level with many of the rainforest’s winged creatures. This is also a good spot for spotting monkeys as they scramble from branch to branch. Some of these bridges also cross over canyons, which will add a little bit of excitement to your hike.
A local wildlife expert leads the Sky Walk tour (upon request) or go by your own. You can turn to them with your questions about the plants and animals you may see along the path. Your hike will take you past two waterfalls that you can admire from viewing platforms.
In the cable car you’ll have a sweeping view of the side of the Arenal Volcano, and the Arenal Lake below. You can decide the pace of your trip, and you can have the car pause wherever you’d like. There’s a guide along for this part of the trip as well, and they can offer interesting information about the landscape and the Arenal Volcano.
