Villa Pacande is a bed and breakfast that is nestled among coffee plantations in one of the top coffee-growing regions of Costa Rica. This B&B has made a commitment to sustainability, which has been officially recognized by the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism.
Villa Pacande is located just 1.8 miles (3 km) from the small city of Alajuela. Alajuela has some outdoor food markets and a pleasant selection of restaurants that serve authentic Costa Rican food. Staying at this bed and breakfast, you’ll be about an hour’s drive from Poas Volcano National Park. This is one of the best-maintained national parks in Costa Rica. Here you can hike to the rim of Poas Volcano, and peer over the side to get a look at the bubbling lava. (The crater is too deep for smoke or geysers to reach the rim.) Make time to hike to the park’s Botos Lake, which is famous for its blue-green water.
Villa Pacande offers 9 rooms total. Accommodations here are decorated to have a homey, cozy appearance. You can reserve a room with between one and five beds. Rooms here are also equipped with fans. Each room at Villa Pacande has a private bathroom with hot water.
In your room, you’ll have a cable TV and access to the hotel’s Wi-Fi. Before you leave for the day, stop by the dining room and help yourself to the hotel’s continental breakfast. The breakfast service here offers a complimentary buffet of typical Costa Rican breakfast foods.
