Hike through the lush rainforests of Corcovado National Park and spot an incredible amount of biodiversity on this exciting all day tour.
Ranked by National Geographic as the world's third best national park, Corcovado is comprised of an enormous 103,290 acres (41,800 hectares) that fill up nearly a third of the Osa Peninsula. Understandably, it's one of Costa Rica's premier wildlife viewing destinations, as its rainforests host an unbelievable amount of biodiversity - over 140 species of mammals, including the jaguar and endangered Baird's tapir, 400 species of birds and 116 species of reptiles.
Guided hiking tours take visitors along several of the park's trails through the San Pedrillo section of Corcovado, providing the opportunity to spot anteaters, sloths, howler monkeys and more. The beaches of the park are known to attract all four species of turtles - olive ridley, leatherback, hawksbill and Pacific green - which visitors may be able to observe along the park's sandy shores. From here, dolphins and humpback whales may also be spotted frolicking in the distance.
