Volcanoes National Park is located in the northwest region of Rwanda. It protects the steep slopes this majestic mountain range. This park is home to the endangered mountain gorilla.
Named after the Virunga Massif's chain of dormant volcanoes, Volcanoes national Park was named after Karisimbi, the highest at 4,507m. Bisoke, with its verdant lake and Sabinyo, Gahinga, and Muhabura.
