Mai Chau, Ninh Binh, Halong Bay 5 Day Tour

This trip offers a great opportunity to see the two areas of outstanding nature beauty; the North-West highlands in Mai Chau and limestone mountains in Ninh Binh. As we ride in Mai Chau we encounter Muong and White Thai minorities and are guests in their traditional stilt houses allowing us to see firsthand how these minority peoples live. In Ninh Binh, we explore the beauty of “Halong Bay on the rice fields” by boat.

HANOI - MAI CHAU (B/L/--)

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel for a 3.5 hour drive to Mai Chau with great views of mountains and nature along the way. Lunch at a local Thai family. After lunch, have a short hike around the village where local women sew and weave their traditional cloths. Overnight in hotel/lodge/local house

MAI CHAU - NINH BINH (B/L/--)

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel/lodge/local house, then head off for 2 hours easy cycling through rice fields and village road while enjoying the daily life and view of local farmers. Have lunch and road trip to Ninh Binh.

NINH BINH (B/L/--)

Visit Hoa Lu - the ancient capital of Vietnam, to visit Dinh temple and Le temple, taking pictures around back road of old village, transfer to Bai Dinh pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 La Han statues, biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with 10 meters in height, 100 tons in weight. Have lunch in local restaurant with some local special dishes such as Goat meat with elderberry, pork storage vessel... Have lunch at the restaurant. After lunch, transfer along Ngo Dong river for taking wonderful landscape, in Tam Coc grottoes(Halong bay inland) that we will enjoy the spectacular scenery while gliding along the river among rice paddies and ranges of limestone mountains peaking up towers over you(2 hrs). After boat trip, we will visit Bich Dong pagoda.

NINH BINH - HALONG (B/L/D)

Moring drive to Halong city to visit one of Wonder of the world: Ha Long Bay. At noon, get on a nice junk cruise to take a Ha Long Bay cruise over 2,000 islands that just out of the sea to provide a spectacular natural environment. We cruise through the magnificent bay of Ha Long to explore some of the beautiful and awesome grottoes. Visit Sung Sot cave and a swim at Soi Sim beach or TiTov beach. In the evening, dinner will be served on boat, before settling into our comfortable cabins for the night. Stay overnight on board.

HALONG BAY - HANOI (B/BRUNCH/--)

Enjoy our last morning on board to admire the spectacular view of the bay. Visit Luon cave on small bamboo boat, then cruise to pass so that tourists can have look Man’s head island, Tortoise island from the Junks. A brunch is served on board as we cruise slowly back to the harbor, where we will check out and transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi. End of the tour.
