No Bai International Airport (HAN) serves as the point of arrival for millions of visitors to Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi every year. When you land, you’ll be about 45 minutes north of downtown Hanoi. This is the second-largest airport in Vietnam, and the largest airport in North Vietnam.

Hanoi Full Day Tour - Highlight of the City

Begin the tour at the impressive Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where you’ll visit the revered leader’s simple stilt home and the beautiful One Pillar Pagoda. Your guide will help you understand the Vietnam of today through stories of Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnam War.  
  
Then, step back in time 1,000 years with a visit to the Temple of Literature. As Vietnam’s first university, this picturesque and peaceful collection of buildings has borne witness to some of the country’s greatest minds.  
  
Moving closer to the maze of alleys that is the Old Quarter you will first visit Hoan Kiem Lake. This pretty, man-made lake is a hive of activity at all times of day when locals and tourists alike seek out the calming water for a stroll, a little exercise, and a catch-up with friends. Your tour includes a stop at Ngoc Son Temple, a site that pays homage to Saint Van Xuong and General Trang Hung Dao.  
  
Later in the afternoon, hop on a cyclo for a 1-hour ride through the chaotic streets of the Old Quarter and learn about the trades that gave the alleys their names.

Take a full-day city tour to see Hanoi’s compact Old Quarter and a number of cultural and historical buildings. This is an excellent introduction to the capital, complete with a fun cyclo ride.

Your tasty tour is made even more exciting by making your journey on a Vespa. Enjoy zooming all over the city to see amazing sights and sample delicious dishes. Your awesome itinerary includes:

**18:00 P.M.**  
Safe and professional Vespa drivers will pick you at your hotel and transfer you to Vintage Motor Cafe. Here, you will enjoy a welcome beverage while your guide briefs you on your itinerary and safety practices.

**18:30 P.M.**  
Your adventure officially begins when you take a short ride to a restaurant in the village of Ngu Xa to taste Pho Cuon (steamed rice paper rolled with friend beef and salad, served with a dipping sauce, young papaya, and spices). You’ll also have the opportunity to try additional foods such as Pho Chien Phong (stir fried steamed rice paper with beef, bok choy, and pho tron — mixed noodle).

**19:15 P.M.**  
Depart the restaurant for a lovely ride along Thanh Nien Road, which separates Truc Bach Lake and West Lake. It’s a serene and romantic moment.

**19:45 P.M.**  
Time for a stop at Cha Ca restaurant, where you’ll enjoy grilled fish fillets mixed with basil, coriander, dill, spring onion, and vegetables, served with rice noodles.

**20:30 P.M.**  
The adventure continues; this time, to Ba Dinh Square and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

**20:45 P.M.**  
Walk off some of your goodies as you enjoy a pleasant stroll and watch the changing guard or national flag lowering ceremony. It’s a wonderful opportunity to take part in one of the nation’s traditions, and appreciate the reverence in which Ho Chi Minh is held.

**21:15 P.M.**  
Ride past colonial architecture and Old Quarter before you arrive at some of the city’s night bars. Enjoy a libation whilst you jam to rock, or sway to Vietnamese love songs or jazz. You can even get up on stage if you’re feeling particularly fearless thanks to your ‘liquid courage’. If you’re not feeling that brave, you can cheer on local entertainers performing in both Vietnamese *and* English.

**22:00 P.M.**  
Time to head back for a good night’s sleep at your hotel. Say good night to your guide and thank them for the amazing time you had before your Vespa drivers return you to your accommodations.

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel for a 3.5 hour drive to Mai Chau with great views of mountains and nature along the way. Lunch at a local Thai family. After lunch, have a short hike around the village where local women sew and weave their traditional cloths. Overnight in hotel/lodge/local house

**MAI CHAU - NINH BINH (B/L/--)**

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel/lodge/local house, then head off for 2 hours easy cycling through rice fields and village road while enjoying the daily life and view of local farmers. Have lunch and road trip to Ninh Binh. 

**NINH BINH (B/L/--)**

Visit Hoa Lu - the ancient capital of Vietnam, to visit Dinh temple and Le temple, taking pictures around back road of old village, transfer to Bai Dinh pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 La Han statues, biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with 10 meters in height, 100 tons in weight. Have lunch in local restaurant with some local special dishes such as Goat meat with elderberry, pork storage vessel... Have lunch at the restaurant.
After lunch, transfer along Ngo Dong river for taking wonderful landscape, in Tam Coc grottoes(Halong bay inland) that we will enjoy the spectacular scenery while gliding along the river among rice paddies and ranges of limestone mountains peaking up towers over you(2 hrs). After boat trip, we will visit Bich Dong pagoda.

**NINH BINH - HALONG (B/L/D)**

Moring drive to Halong city to visit one of Wonder of the world: Ha Long Bay. At noon, get on a nice junk cruise to take a Ha Long Bay cruise over 2,000 islands that just out of the sea to provide a spectacular natural environment. We cruise through the magnificent bay of Ha Long to explore some of the beautiful and awesome grottoes. Visit Sung Sot cave and a swim at Soi Sim beach or TiTov beach. In the evening, dinner will be served on boat, before settling into our comfortable cabins for the night. Stay overnight on board.

**HALONG BAY - HANOI (B/BRUNCH/--)**

Enjoy our last morning on board to admire the spectacular view of the bay. Visit Luon cave on small bamboo boat, then cruise to pass so that tourists can have look Man’s head island, Tortoise island from the Junks. A brunch is served on board as we cruise slowly back to the harbor, where we will check out and transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi. End of the tour. 


This trip offers a great opportunity to see the two areas of outstanding nature beauty; the North-West highlands in Mai Chau and limestone mountains in Ninh Binh. As we ride in Mai Chau we encounter Muong and White Thai minorities and are guests in their traditional stilt houses allowing us to see firsthand how these minority peoples live. In Ninh Binh, we explore the beauty of “Halong Bay on the rice fields” by boat.

Hue Airport (HUI)

Phu Bai International Airport (IATA: HUI) is about 30 minutes to the east of Hue. It’s two hours from here to Da Nang, the closest major city. Travelers come here to see the rural beauty and caves of Vietnam’s [central coast](https://www.anywhere.com/vietnam/regions/central-coast-and-caves).

This morning depart for the My Son-Holy Land to see the remains of Kingdom of Champa. After lunch drive back to Hoi An to visit Japanese Bridge, renowned Chinese Temple, and former Vietnamese former merchants house. Then enjoy some leisure time in the ancient town.

My Son temples were built from the 4th century under the reign of king Bhadravaman, until late 13th century, and early 14th century under the reign of King Jaya Simhavaman III (Che Man). My Son used to be a group of more than 70 temple towers. Each temple has a typical architecture which reflects a historical stage of the Champa kingdoms. Most of the architecture and sculptures were influenced by Indian culture. Most of the temples point to the East, the sun direction. Champa people thought that the East was the place where the gods lived.

Ho Chi Minh to My Tho / Mekong Day Tour
