Eldora Hotel is a boutique hotel in downtown Hue. This is a busy part of town with lots of restaurant options — Hue is known in Vietnam for several special dishes that you’ll want to try during your stay.
Cross the Trang Tien Bridge — designed by the same architect as the Eiffel Tower in Paris — to reach Hue’s ancient citadel. For many years, only royals could enter the citadel, so the inner sanctums are still guarded by a series of gates, including the especially elaborate Imperial City Gate. Nearby the citadel you can embark on a ferry trip to ancient sites like Thien Mu Pagoda and Hue Nam Shrine.
Sconces, chandeliers, and headboards make the rooms feel especially upscale. The bathrooms have a claw foot bathtubs and hairdryers. Every room has big windows that let in lots of light and great views of either the city or the river.
There is high-speed Wi-Fi available in every room, and all of the rooms have air conditioning. Flip through the channels on the 40-inch LED TV, and get yourself a drink from the hotel minibar. When you leave for the day, you can store your valuables in the room’s safety deposit box.
The hotel’s large, indoor pool has elegant surroundings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Visit the gym for a workout, and the spa for a massage, and relax while the hotel takes care of your laundry.
The dining room has an upscale atmosphere with soft lighting. Start your morning with the hotel’s free breakfast. The bar serves mixed drinks and has a terrace that overlooks the city. In the coffee lounge, there’s high ceilings and grand pianos.
