Sensoria Land of Senses

This tour takes you to see the wildlife that surrounds the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano on a jungle trail called “Sensoria”—named for its sensorily overwhelming environment. Your three- to four-hour hike concludes with a dip in a thermally heated pool.

Your tour begins with a ride in an air conditioned bus. The forest stands in stark contrast to the flat grasslands. When you first arrive at the edge of the forest, your guides will greet you with a fresh glass of juice.

This is a protected area that provides a safe haven for monkeys, sloths, jaguars, and tapirs. Besides the geothermal activity in the area, you’ll also experience pretty waterfalls. At some point, your tour will break for a picnic lunch.

Swimsuit, towel, sneakers or hiking shoes, change of comfortable clothes, sunglasses, hat, binoculars, camera, sunscreen, bug spray.
