Indulge in a day of relaxation and adventure at the Vandara Hot Springs & Spa. The Vandara Hot Springs are situated near the Rincón de la Vieja National Park on a nicely forested piece of property. This combination tour allows guests to enjoy many different activities, including a soak in the hot springs, horseback riding, a canopy your, waterslide adventure, and an organic farm tour.
Set along the edge of the tranquil Tizate River and surrounded by an abundance of dry tropical forest, the setting for the Vandara Hot Springs couldn't be better. Vandara’s five thermal pools provide an ideal spot to unwind, as does the nearby Jacuzzi. If further relaxation is in order, take a trip to their open-air massage parlor, where experienced therapists offer a series of body treatments to help you sink into utter peacefulness.
If you get hungry, head over to the Ojoche Restaurant, which serves up Costa Rican meals as well as tasty international cuisines. The food - much of which is organically grown on Tizate's own private ranch - is always fresh and appetizing. Also nearby is a wet bar, which offers a number of refreshing juices, beers and cocktails for you to sip on while sitting in or around on of the fabulous thermal pools.
Guests of this tour also have the opportunity to enjoy exciting adventure activities, including horseback riding and zip lining. During the horseback ride, keep your eyes peeled for anteaters, armadillos, and tropical birds. You’ll ride to the top of a mountain and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. After the ride ends, you can continue on to the canopy tour. Comprised of some 11 platforms and a Tarzan Swing, this activity will surely boost your adrenaline.
Tour participants are also invited to try out the waterslide, which runs for 400-meters before splashing into the pool, or take a tour of Vandara’s organic farm. After wandering through the tomatoes, radishes, pineapples, and mangoes, head to the restaurant for lunch or dinner. The meal is included in the tour and is largely made from local organic ingredients.
