Supporting Local Artists
Anywhere Costa Rica is actively involved in projects that preserve and develop the [culture](/costa-rica/sustainable/social/culture) of [La Fortuna](/costa-rica/destinations/arenal). We know how talented our local artists are — they create impressive paintings, craft intricate sculptures, and produce gorgeous jewelry. We decided that these artists needed a place to display their work to our community. With this in mind, we created an art fair.
In conjunction with the Hotel Arenal Volcano Inn and the Que Rico Arenal Restaurant and Pizzeria, Anywhere Costa Rica organized this fair to showcase local craftsmanship. We invited the artists to set up booths where they could sell and display their products.

The fair was a huge success. A great variety of artists came out, including painters, woodworkers, and jewelers. Community members showed up to shop, talk, and enjoy. There were special activities for children, including face painting and balloons.
We hope that this activity will motivate other companies in Costa Rica to promote local artists and culture.
Environment
It's more than just having a good time or visiting beautiful places (although that's absolutely a part of it!), it's about being part of a unique experience that stays with you.
