As the Imperial City, Hue became known for its fine cuisine and continues to be a special destination for food lovers to this day. Where better to take a cooking class and learn about Vietnamese cooking? Travel by motorbike to Thanh Toan Village to spend some time with a local chef.
Arrive at your cooking class in style on the back of a motorbike! Your chef — and teacher for the day — is located in Thanh Toan Village where much of the local produce is grown and reared.
Stop by the communal house to learn about traditional ancestral worship before taking a break and welcome drink at the Thanh Toan Eco Home. You’ll then set off for a visit to the local market and the fields themselves, where you’ll get a quick, hands-on farming lesson.
Back at the Eco Home, you’ll head to the kitchen to learn the traditional ways to prepare the of Hue’s speciality dishes, including Vietnamese pancakes and spring rolls. After cooking up a storm, you’ll sit down to eat the food you’ve made as well as a few other local favourites from the menu.
